Stephen Andrew Dlugos

Born on June 7, 1959, in Morgantown, WV, he was the son of the late John Dlugos and Grace (Derigo) Dlugos.
Stephen had a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering and a Master’s Degree in Structural Engineering, both from West Virginia University. He worked for several engineering firms over the years and was currently President of Thomas Downey Ltd., Consulting Engineers. He was a licensed professional engineer in Maryland, Virginia, and Pennsylvania.
He enjoyed being outdoors and loved hiking, fly fishing, and hunting.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Jillian Faith Dlugos (Ryan James Dudley) of Arlington VA; Jan Colleen Miller (William Andrew Miller) of Woodbine; sister, Jennifer Duthie of Leesburg, VA; brother, Dennis Dlugos, Woodbridge, VA; and many extended family members and friends.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Sunday, May 5, 2024 at Stauffer Funeral Homes, 8 East Ridgeville Blvd. in Mt. Airy, MD, where a memorial service will begin at 2 p.m. and will be followed with light refreshments at 3 p.m.
