Stephen Hugh Todd

Stephen Hugh Todd, 70, of Sharpsburg, Maryland, passed from this life to spend eternity with Jesus on Wednesday, March 22, 2023.  He was at Sterling Care South Mountain in Boonsboro, MD and was surrounded by family and friends.

Born on July 25, 1952, in Troy, OH, he was the son of Dr. John Grey and Marilee Catherine (Ditmer) Todd of Murfreesboro, TN.
Stephen was a 1970 graduate of John Marshall High School in Oklahoma City.  He worked as a Mail Clerk for the National Geographic Magazine for about 20 years. Steve was a faithful member of South End Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon and was always excited to attend any service or activity.  He loved the Lord and his church.  He also volunteered for the American Red Cross and Frederick Memorial Hospital.  He loved spending time with his family and friends. In his spare time, he enjoyed going to his church and watching his favorite classic TV shows and game shows.

In addition to his loving parents, he is survived by his son Jon and wife Jennifer of Sharpsburg, MD and son Caleb and wife Nicole of Martinsburg, WV; grandchildren, Rebekah, Elijah, and Daniel of Sharpsburg; sister, Amy Shepherd and husband Craig of Watertown, TN and sister Elaine and husband Rick of Mount Juliet, TN; and former wife and one of his best friends, Bonnie Todd. 

The family will receive friends from 5-8 pm on Tuesday, March 28, 2023, at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, MD 21702.

 A celebration of Stephen's life journey will take place at 10 am on Wednesday, March 29 at South End Baptist Church, 506 Carrollton Drive, Frederick, MD 21701.  Pastor Michael Cooper will officiate.  Interment will be at Monocacy Cemetery.
