Susan Marie Click

Susan Marie Click, 71, of Monrovia, MD, passed from this life on Wednesday, June 12, 2024. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles W. Click. 

Susan “Sue” Stone was born on December 12, 1952 at Providence Hospital in Washington, D.C. Susan was the eldest child of four of her late parents, Alice and Elmer “Bud” Stone. She grew up in Aspen Hill, MD. Her family was always very close and she had loving memories of her childhood. Many years later, Sue welcomed her beautiful son, Jason, into this world and cherished him until her passing. Sue was devoted to and excelled at her career at the Howard Hughes Medical Institute, where she worked for over 25 years. 

In 1987, Sue was introduced to Charles “Chuck” Click, who would turn out to be the love of her life. Sue and Chuck married on October 21, 1989. Sue gained two daughters through this marriage and loved them dearly. Sue and Chuck loved life together and their love of Hawaii, as well as their desire to retire there, was known by all. They were married for just shy of 21 years when their journey on this earth together was cut short by Chuck’s death in 2010. Sue then poured her affection into her grandchildren, who she loved so very much. In addition to her family life, Sue was an avid reader, and was a passionate participant with her local community theater. Sue will be missed so many friends, whom she enjoyed spending time and traveling with. Sue was a beautiful person, touched many lives, and will be sorely missed.

Susan is survived by her son, Jason Fangmeyer; grandsons, Jacob and Noah Fangmeyer; daughters, Teresa Click and Patricia Click; granddaughter, Zoe Brumfield; her sister, Deborah Shores (husband, Joseph); her two brothers, Michael Stone (wife Jacqueline) and Timothy Stone; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, August 3rd at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike in Frederick.
