Suzanne, known as Susie to her family and friends, was employed by Safeway for 38 years. She was a friend to many and loved by all who knew her. Susie gave her whole heart to her family who she loved more than anything in the world. Susie was first and foremost a Pittsburgh Steeler fan and also loved attending Penn State football games. She loved country music and attending country music concerts was her "happy place". She would tell you that the very best times in her life were those spent with her family, sitting around with a glass of wine talking, laughing and reminiscing.
Susie was preceded in death by her parents, Sarah and Moses, brothers Ron and George, and sister, Alberta. Susie is survived by her husband, Larry Dalton, daughter Jamie Escamilla and son-in-law Adam Escamilla, son Corey Dalton and daughter-in-law Valerie Dalton, and grandchildren, Sarah Escamilla, Peyton Escamilla, Lexi Escamilla, Ace Escamilla, and Kennedy Dalton; sister Cathy Kennedy and brother-in-law Jack Kennedy.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm on Thursday, June 13, 2024, at Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike in Boonsboro, Maryland.
A celebration of Suzanne's life journey will take place at 1 pm on Friday, June 14, 2024, at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church (Boonsboro), 64 South Main Street in Boonsboro, Maryland. Rev. Karl Muhlbach will officiate. Interment will be at Boonsboro Cemetery in Boonsboro, Maryland.
Memorial donations may be made to Susie's favorite charity, St. Judes Children's Research Hospital in lieu of sending flowers.
