Suzanne Elizabeth Metheny

Suzanne Elizabeth Metheny, 64, of Thurmont, passed unexpectedly but peacefully on September 10th surrounded by her immediate family.

Born and raised in Frederick County, Suzanne was a graduate of Linganore High School. An active and devoted member of the Thurmont community for decades, she was a long-time employee of the Thurmont Regional Library, youth soccer coach, child-care giver for many families, and Pilates enthusiast. Known for her warmth, lively spirit, and unwavering love for her family, Suzanne touched countless lives with her generosity and kindness.

Suzanne is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Thomas; her six children (Noah, Sarah, Nicholas, Mallory, Hannah, and Aaron); her mother; her six siblings; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on September 21st from 1-5pm at Stauffer Funeral Home in Thurmont.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Suzanne’s memory to the Thurmont Regional Library for a memorial bench.
