Sylvia Ann Fulford

Sylvia Ann Fulford, 89, of Mount Airy, passed away on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, at Kline Hospice House in Mount Airy. 

She was the 54 year wife of the late Richard "Dick" Fulford, who died in 2009.

Born on January 19, 1937, in San Antonio, TX, she was the daughter of the late John Walker Vaughn and Hermina Christen.

A loving wife, mom and grandmother, Sylvia was creative and enjoyed sewing, quilting, crafting, gardening and furniture refinishing.She also enjoyed preparing and decorating for the holidays. In addition, she and her husband went square dancing for many years.

Sylvia is survived by three children: Fred Fulford, Cindy Brown and husband David and Tony Fulford; five grandchildren: Amy, Lori, Ben, Samantha and Caleb as well as 13 great grandchildren and her brother-in-law William Fulford and wife Bonnie.

Services and interment will be private and the family requests no flowers be sent.
