Frederick

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Tanya Perry, aged 47, of Frederick, Maryland, on Tuesday, January 30, 2024. Tanya was a beloved mother, daughter, sister, and friend to many. Though she departed too soon, her spirit will live on in the hearts of those fortunate enough to have known her.

Born on June 27, 1976, in Racine, Wisconsin, Tanya was the daughter of the late William Perry and Janet (Michaels) Perry. She graduated from the Wisconsin School for the Deaf in 1994 and pursued both her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Social Work at Gallaudet University. Tanya dedicated her career to serving at the Delaware School for the Deaf, Maryland School for the Deaf, and Kendall Green.

Known for her kind heart and selflessness, Tanya touched countless lives with her genuine care and compassion. Whether offering a helping hand or a listening ear, she was a steadfast source of support and encouragement. Her generosity and prioritization of others above herself were truly admirable traits.

Tanya approached life with boundless enthusiasm and joy, embracing each day with wonder and excitement. Her infectious laughter and radiant smile could illuminate even the darkest of rooms, serving as a beacon of positivity and inspiration to those around her.

She is survived by her cherished daughter, Neva Whittaker, who held the center of her world, as well as her mother, Janet Perry, sisters Tracy Reins (spouse Al Reins) and Tamara Fuerst (spouse Paul Fuerst), along with nephews and nieces Brett Fuerst, Hans Fuerst, Cha'Risa Reins, and Gunnar Reins, along with extended family and numerous friends whose lives were profoundly touched by her presence. Tanya's memory will be treasured and carried in the hearts of all who were privileged to know her, guiding and protecting them with her unconditional love and unwavering support.

As we navigate this challenging time, let us honor Tanya's beautiful soul and take comfort in the love and memories she shared with us. Her legacy will continue to inspire us to live each day with kindness, compassion, and zest for life.

A memorial service to commemorate Tanya's life will be announced at a later date.  Expressions of sympathy may be offered to the family at StaufferFuneralHome.com.

Forever in our hearts, Tanya Perry will be dearly missed, but never forgotten.
