Thomas Lee Jarels, Sr.

Thomas Lee Jarels, Sr., 73, of Mount Airy, passed away from this life with loved ones at his side and entered Heaven on Wednesday, January 7, 2026.

Born on September 16, 1952, in Montgomery County Maryland, he was the son of the late Claude Swanson Jarels and Ada Marie (Baugher) Jarels.

Thomas was a quiet man who would help anyone. He retired from Montgomery County Public Schools after 36+ years of service. Tom spent half of his career in Heavy Equipment and the other half as a Glazier. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, hunting and fishing in his younger years. Later in life he loved to garden, piddling around in his shed and going to auctions and Harbor Freight .Tom loved his dog Shurlock.

He is survived by son and daughter-in-law Thomas Lee, Jr. and Andrea Jarels, granddaughters Hayden and Corrine, his sister Jane Pollock and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by Father Claude Jarels, Mother Ada Jarels, Brother Claude Jarels and sister Betty Lippart.
