Thomas Franklin Poole

Thomas Franklin Poole, 27, of Sharpsburg, went to be with the Lord, with his wife by his side, on Wednesday, October 11, 2023 after a short battle with cancer. 

Born on July 31, 1996, in Middletown, he was the son of John and Pam Poole of Middletown. 

Thomas was home schooled by his mother, Pam, and graduated in 2015. Always one to have an entrepreneurial spirit, Thomas would go door to door as a child and sell calendars. At the age of 14, he started his landscaping business, Quality Lawn Care. A company he grew from one push mower to multiple zero-turn mowers and various other equipment. His dream was to build a company that would provide for his family and he could pass on to his children. 

In 2016, Thomas met Kierstan Whitsell at a friend's house. The couple married in May of 2019. A year later they welcomed their son, Carson Daniel. In the fall of 2021, their daughter, Brooklyn Rose, joined her brother completing the family. Thomas enjoyed spending time with his family and had a passion for motor cross. He loved being active and the outdoors. He was always helping his neighbors, family, and friends. 

In addition to his parents, wife, Kierstan and their children, he will also be missed by his brothers and sisters, Crystal Boyer, Jason Poole, Laura Trevett, Robert Poole, Sarah Gudgeon, Charity Davis, Johnny Poole, Jana Poole and David Poole. 

The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. pm on Sunday, October 15, 2023 at Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike in Boonsboro. 

A celebration of Thomas's life journey will take place at 2 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home in Boonsboro. Pastor Todd Westphal will officiate. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Dorcas Ministries or to The Glioblastoma Foundation, to further research treatment and a cure.
