Thomas Nixon Presgraves

Thomas “Tom” Nixon Presgraves, 90, peacefully passed away on July 9 at home surrounded by his family. He leaves behind his wife Raejean, sons Thomas and Christopher as well as his grandchildren Vivian, Julianne and James. 

Tom was born in Lincoln, VA to Samuel Garnett Presgraves Sr and Lottie Agnes Furr. As the youngest of 5 siblings, he stayed close to them in life and loved his many visits with his nieces and nephews.

Tom grew up on a turkey farm which instilled a strong work ethic and steady character. After graduating high school, he entered the U.S. Air Force and became a pilot. He loved stock car racing and traveled with NASCAR for several years before meeting Raejean at General Electric, where he was Manager of Engineering for 30 years. 

He is survived in death by his caretaker and best friend, Patty Villarosa as well as his extensive family in Virginia and Ohio.
