Thomas Marshall Davis, Jr.

Mr. Thomas Marshall Davis, Jr. 81 of Frederick, Maryland passed away on Tuesday, February 6, 2007 at the Frederick Memorial Hospital.

Born September 18, 1925 in Adamstown, MD he was the son of the late Marshall and Regina Davis.

Mr. Davis served in the US Army during World War II from 1943 until 1945.

He then went into business in 1945 and opened his photography studio, Davis Studio. With the help of his faithful friend and co-worker, Ilene Weeks and his youngest son, Ronald Davis his business Davis Studio remained a success for him for 51 years until his retirement in 1996. Davis Studio still remains a successful business now for over 62 years with his son Ron as soul owner. Even after his death he will be known to many as Tom the photographer which was his passion and love.

He married Patricia Ann Davis in Frederick, MD in 1950 and they have four surviving children, three sons, Gary Davis and girlfriend Susan Esquer who became a very special friend of Mr. Davis in his last years, Keith Davis and wife Andrea, Ronald Davis and wife Norma and a daughter, Jo Ann Davis and life partner Josif Mavridis, his two sisters, Jeanie Dutrow and Rosita O'Conner. After the death of his first wife he married Frances Kinna Davis until her passing. She has two children of her own, Richard Kinna and Donald Kinna. Between the two marriages he is survived by 15 grandchildren.

Visitation: The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick on Friday, February 9, 2007 from 2-4 and 6-9 PM.

Services: Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, February 10, 2007 at 10:30 AM with Rev. Richard J. Murphy.

Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Andrew Davis, Dennis Weeks, Harry Fogle, Mike and Joe Dutrow, Steve Baker and Dick Markey.
