Tommy Lee Hughes

Tommy Lee Hughes, Sr., 44, of Thurmont, passed from this life on Wednesday, December 4, 2024.

Tommy was born on July 29,1980 in Frederick. He was the son of the late Grover Cleveland Hughes, Jr. and Joyce Vanessa Bryant. Tommy was preceded in death by many loved ones, including his grandmother and guardian angel, Anna Marie Hughes.

Mr. Hughes was a devoted father who loved his children dearly. He was employed by Kinsley Construction, Inc., where he was a certified heavy equipment operator. 

Tommy is survived by his children, Sadie Marie Hughes, Tommy Lee Hughes, Jr., LaCie Lynn Hughes, and CiCi; and his siblings, Jennifer Wivell, Sherry Hughes and Paul Hughes. 

Tommy will be remembered by many friends and family. Especially his nephews, Jakoby and Brayden Biser; niece, Vanessa Hughes (Atticus Warren Veselitza); uncle, Jeffrey Lee Hughes; and dearest friend, Timmy ICard. 

The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. on Monday, December 16, 2024 at Stauffer Funeral Home, 104 E. Main Street in Thurmont. 

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, December 17th at the funeral home in Thurmont. Rev. Tim May will officiate. Burial will be held at Blue Ridge Cemetery in Thurmont. Serving as pallbearers are pallbearers, Tommy, Sadie and LaCie Hughes, Jakoby and Brayden Biser, Vanessa Hughes, Timmi ICard, and Tyler Wile.
