Tyler Evan Zimmer

November 16, 1987 — December 17, 2025

Frederick

Tyler Evan Zimmer, 38, of Frederick, Maryland, previously of Bloomington, Bedford, and Salem, Indiana, passed from his earthly home on Wednesday, December 17, 2025 in Frederick, Maryland.

Born on November 16, 1987, in Saint Matthews, Kentucky, he was the son of Sharon Crain Williams and Ronald E. Zimmer.

He married Sarah Elizabeth Daniels on June 6, 2009 in Bedford, Indiana. They had seven wonderful years together before welcoming their twins, Annie Elizabeth and Abram Evan, on August 15, 2016.

Tyler attended Bedford North Lawrence High School and later Salem High School, where he graduated in 2006. He was a graduate of Indiana University and most recently acquired his MBA from Aston University.

He worked for OneMain Financial for 15 years, where he was a highly respected District Manager for the state of Indiana. He recently was sought after to represent a company in Frederick, Maryland, which is where he resided with his wife and children for the past 18 months.

Tyler always said his greatest accomplishment in life was becoming a father to Annie and Abram. He took that role seriously and loved them fiercely. When he met Sarah in 2008, they became engaged after only one month of dating, knowing he had found his soul mate and love of his life. He was 21 and she was 19 when they married and had 16 and a half years together as loving partners. Before Annie and Abram were born, he and his wife were avid travelers, always excited to see and experience a new area in the states or the Caribbean. After their children were born, they continued to travel and give them those same adventures.

Tyler had a deep passion for the sport of wrestling, growing up and competing until high school graduation. He then passed his love for the sport down to Annie and Abram, and he was involved with coaching for Edgewood Wrestling Club, Bloomington South Wrestling Club, both in Indiana, and most recently, Urbana Wrestling Club in Frederick, Maryland.

Tyler had the ability to talk and make friends easily with others. He gave his time freely when anyone was in need and was always willing to be a shoulder to lean on or a person to talk with. Tyler had a radiant smile and the ability to light up any room he was in. He had a special place in his heart for dogs, having many throughout his life, his most recent being his beloved Bernedoodle, Bernie, Golden Retriever, Rooney, as well as their Shih Tzu, Molly, and he and Sarah’s first dog, a Yorkie named Myles.

He is survived by his wife and children, his mother, Sharon Crain Williams and stepfather, Eric Williams, his brother, Travis (Sarah) Bush and nephew Callum, stepbrothers Hunter and Walker Williams, his uncle, Jeff (Michelle) Crain, cousin Nicholas Capannelli, aunt Angela Lennon, cousin Elizabeth (Brian) Comer, his father and mother-in-law, Brett and Peggy Daniels, and sister-in-law Stephanie Simmons, nephews Braydon and Emmett. He had a special grandparent-like relationship with David and Janet Wells, who thought of him as one of their own. He is also survived by his father Ron Zimmer and paternal grandmother Jan Webster, as well as countless other close family members and friends.

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Carl and Betty Crain and paternal grandfathers Cliff Webster and Earl Zimmer.

A celebration of life will be held at Westview Christian Church, 2638 NW Washington School Road, Campbellsburg, Indiana on Saturday, January 24, 2026. Visitation will begin at 10AM, following a service at 2PM. His final wishes were to be cremated. In lieu of flowers, the family will be establishing a 529 college savings plan for Annie and Abram.
