Venzuela Elaine "Tootie" Daily, 90, of Frederick, passed away on Monday, October 8 at Vindabona Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was the wife of the late Ulysses G. Daily. Born on November 4, 1927 in Pittsburgh, PA, she was the daughter of Thomas Andrew Williams and Delilah V. (Moxley) Williams.
Mrs. Daily worked as an administrative assistant for both Frederick County Public Schools and Washington County Public Schools for many years. She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church, The Order of the Eastern Star - Deborah Chapter, Hagerstown.
She is survived by a daughter, Sheila Segars; a granddaughter, Alexandra Booth; a great-granddaughter, Ava Riley; nieces: Carolyn Brooks, Denesa Jerman, Laverne Blackwell and Joan Thomas and nephew, Nat Scales. In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by sisters Joyce Tyler and Phyllis Scales and brother Andrew Williams.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 13 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick. A celebration of Elaine's life journey will take place immediately following visitation at 12:00 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Pastor Mark Groover will officiate. Interment will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
