Vernon "Butchie" Jacob Smith, IV

Vernon Jacob "Butchie" Smith, IV, 48, of Frederick, passed away on Saturday, March 25, 2023 at his home.  Born on August 15, 1974, in Cheverly, he was the son of Sarah Smith and the late Vernon Jacob Smith, III.

Butchie is survived by his mother, Sarah Smith, as well as his children: Tyler Price and Adriana Smith; a grand-daughter, Moon Price; his siblings,  Dawn Marie Shugars and husband Allen, Vernon Michael Smith and wife Shelly and Elizabeth Ann Tolson; nephews: Troy Martin, Jayden O’Brien; nieces: Katie Shugars, Desiree Smith, Brittani Smith, Breanna Smith, Lexi Martin and Malaya O’Brien.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 2 from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, where a memorial service will immediately follow at 1:00 pm in the chapel of the funeral home.  Interment will be private.
