Virginia Erin Stewart, 47, of Mount Airy, Maryland, passed from this life on Friday, January 2, 2026 at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, DC. She was the wife of Christopher Thomas, her husband of 14 years

Born on December 7, 1978, in Webster, TX, she was the daughter of James Roger Stewart of North Carolina and Sandra Madeleine (Jacob) Stewart of Annapolis.

She was a 1997 graduate of Watkins Mill High School, her Bachelors Degree at University of Maryland Baltimore Campus in 2002 and earned her Masters degree from the University of Kentucky in 2006.

Ginger has worked in the health care industry and was a physicians assistant at various locations.

She enjoyed helping others, sewing and in earlier years was an avid volleyball player, enjoying physical fitness.

Surviving in addition to her husband and parents are a daughter, Skylar Thomas; two brothers Bradford Stewart and Clay Stewart
