Virginia Lynn Williams

Virginia Lynn Williams of Frederick, Maryland died March 1, 2023 at the age of 70 after a brief illness. 

Lynn was born May 24, 1952 in Wheeling, WV. After graduating high school, she joined the US Army where she met her first husband, Paul. Their time together took her to Germany, South Korea, Kentucky, Colorado, then to Frederick, Maryland where she and their son lived for many years after Lynn’s divorce. Lynn met her second husband Bob Boyd as coworkers, and moved with him to Arizona. After their divorce, Lynn briefly enjoyed a rural retirement on the bank of a Louisiana river, then returned to Frederick, close to other family who’d made Maryland their home. She had recently begun working in Human Resources at Target, where she adored her coworkers at the Frederick and Germantown stores. 

Lynn was funny, sharp, articulate, artistic, considerate, and charitable. She regularly expressed her love and affection through the excellent meals that she prepared for her family and friends. Lynn loved nature and often looked forward to spending her days fishing. 

Lynn is survived by her son Eric Douglas Williams, her sisters Marlene Harty and Sheryl Thume, Sheryl’s husband Richard, and her cousins Greg Reineke and Sean Reineke. There will be no service, at Lynn’s request.
