Wade Hamilton Lucas, 63, of Adamstown, Maryland, passed from this life on Saturday, September 20, 2025 at Frederick Health Hospital in Frederick, MD. He was the loving husband of Karen Lucas. They were married for 41 years.
Born on October 11, 1961, in Washington, DC, he was the son of the late Raymond Lee Lucas and Ivah Mae (Green) Lucas. Wade grew up in Woodhull, New York and continued to have deep relationships with family and friends in that area.
Wade held jobs over the years with Pioneer, co-owned G & L, owned LCSI, and owned several rental properties.
He coached football and baseball in Brunswick for over 15 years. He enjoyed drag racing, snowmobiling, Washington football, woodworking and spending time with his grandkids.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Ben Lucas (Justine) and Chris Lucas (Brianna); four grandchildren, Cole, Raylan, Lainey, and Logan; siblings, Doug Lucas, Ken Lucas (Judy), Art Lucas (Lou), and Walt Lucas (Betty); numerous nieces and nephews; and his dear friends, Tom Lobdell, John Andrews, and Doran Peters.
Wade was preceded in death by good friends, Kenny Thompson and Larry O'Hara.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, September 24, 2025 at Stauffer Funeral Homes, 1100 North Maple Avenue in Brunswick, MD.
A celebration of Wade's life journey will take place at 10:00 am on Thursday, September 25, 2025, from Stauffer Funeral Home, Brunswick. Rev. Randall Reid will officiate.
A Celebration of Life will be held in Woodhull, New York in early October.
