Walter Edward Myers, Jr.

Walter Edward "Ed" Myers, Jr., 82, of Frederick, Maryland, passed from this life on Saturday, May 31, 2025 at Frederick Health Hospital. He was the loving husband of Frances Anne Myers for 47 years.

Born on October 28, 1942, in Virginia, he was the son of the late Walter Edward Myers and Isabel Jane (Potterfield) Myers.

He had a longtime career in Montgomery County Government Permitting Services.

Ed loved spending time with his family and attending Orioles games. He will be greatly missed.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Jonathan Myers; two daughters, Linda Fogleman and Lisa Keen and husband, John; grandchildren, Shannon Akers and husband, Mychal, and Matthew Keen and fiancée, Laura Blanco Soriano; great-grandchildren; Jayme, Kasey, and Liam Akers, and Elena Keen; and seven nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Ed was predeceased by his sister, Jean McFarland and husband, Dan; and his brother, Renice Myers and wife, Betty Jane. He was the last of his immediate family.

A celebration of Ed's life journey will begin at 11 a.m. on Monday, August 18 at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, with the family receiving friends from 10:30 -11 a.m. Rev. Tim May will officiate.
