Wanda Ann Scott

Wanda Ann Scott of Knoxville, Maryland passed away at Frederick Memorial Hospital on July 5, 2026, at the age of 70. Born on February 13, 1956, she was a graduate of Frederick High class of 1974. Wanda was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Stanley Piere Scott; her sons, Andrew “Beau” Paul Mercer of Knoxville, Maryland, and Charles “Rick” Richard Mercer III of Thurmont, Maryland; her grandchildren, Cole Mercer, Rachel Mercer, and Camdyn Mercer; her sisters, Brenda Lee Jumper and Tina Osbourne; and her brothers, Robert E. Hobbs Jr. and Paul E. Hobbs.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert "Bobby" Hobbs and Catherine Betty "Kay" Wilson, and her sister, Paula Stine.

Wanda worked for many years as a medical claim’s processor with CAC in Rockville before continuing her career with MAMSI in Frederick. She loved spending time with husband, adored her dogs, Sparky, Blaze, Rudy, Savannah, Bandit, Julie and Poo, and was always ready for a spontaneous trip to the casino.

She will be remembered for her kind heart, warm laugh and the love she shared with everyone that surrounded her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved her.
