Wayne C. Ausherman

Wayne C. Ausherman, 78, of Frederick, passed from this life on Wednesday, July 23, 2025. He was the loving husband of Jane Ausherman for 57 years.

Born on January 10, 1947, in Frederick, he was the son of the late Gilmore Lamar Ausherman and Mary Ellen (DeGrange) Ausherman.

Wayne was a graduate of Frederick High School, Class of 1965.

He was a veteran of the United States Army and served a tour of duty during Vietnam from 1968-69.

Wayne was an avid car enthusiast, who loved corvettes, drag racing, and was a member of the Frederick County Corvette Club. He was also a member of the American Legion Post 11 and the Frederick Elks Lodge.

A talented musician, he played saxophone in a number of well-known local bands over the years. Additionally, he enjoyed riding his Harley, fishing, and spending time with his family, especially his grandson, Aiden.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons, Eric Ausherman, and John Ausherman and fiancé' Kelly; grandson, Aiden; two sisters-in-law, Donna Ausherman and Ruth Ann Wilson; his nieces and nephews, Jeffrey Ausherman and wife Eileen, Jennifer Ausherman, Lori Shuff and husband Kevin, and Rebecca Strawsburg; and many friends.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Tuesday, August 5, 2025 at Stauffer Funeral Homes, 1621 Opossumtown Pike in Frederick, MD.
