Wayne F. Sullivan

Wayne F. Sullivan of Woodbine, MD passed away at the age of 78 on Thursday, July 9, 2026 surrounded by his family. He was the husband of Meryl “Ann” Sullivan.

Wayne was born on Aug. 16, 1947 in Washington, DC to Charles L. and Evelyn M. Sullivan. He graduated from Bladensburg High School and worked for 40 years in the telecommunications industry. He retired as a Senior Project Manager.

Wayne’s greatest passion was spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed watching football games and western movies, as well as traveling, eating crabs, gardening, camping, fishing, hunting, and automobile restoration. He also loved attending car shows with his prize winning 1959 Corvette.

Wayne had the ability to fix anything and he loved helping his family with household and automobile repairs. He often reminisced about his childhood and reflected on cherished memories that he had with his parents, siblings, and friends. Most of all, he treasured the memories that he made with his beloved wife, Ann, over the past 59 years. Wayne is loved by many and will be immensely missed.

Surviving in addition to his wife are his two sons, Mark F. Sullivan (Jill) of Adamstown, MD and Michael W. Sullivan (Brittany) of Mt. Airy, MD. Sisters, Janice Nace of Silver Spring, MD, Donna Bennett (Gary) of Columbia, MD, and Nancy Sullivan of Laurel, MD. Four grandchildren, Eric and Andrew Sullivan and Nathan and Madison Sullivan; a sister-in-law Carol Sullivan of Fulton, MD; as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents as well as his brother Charles W. Sullivan and brother-in-law Thomas A. Nace.

A celebration of life will be planned for a later date.
