William R. Henneberger

William “Bill” Robert Henneberger, 85, of Hagerstown, Maryland passed away peacefully at his home on July 9th, 2026. Born in Boonsboro, Bill was the son of the late Lawrence and Ethel Henneberger. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Berniece Henneberger and daughter Diane Swope.

Bill graduated from Boonsboro High School and continued his education at Hagerstown Junior College. He dedicated 33 years of his career to Beachley Furniture, where he was a valued employee.

Bill is survived by his children, Amy Henneberger, Jamey (Flora) Henneberger, and Darin (Sabrina) Sweeney, as well as 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren who brought him immense joy.

A man of simple pleasures, Bill loved watching baseball- especially cheering for the Nationals and found fulfillment in volunteering at Tabitha’s Table Food Bank. Bill enjoyed spending time with his special friend Faye and above all, he cherished spending time with his family.

A service to honor Bill’s life will be held on July 17th at 11am at Greenbrier Baptist Church,20810 National Pike, Boonsboro, MD 21713, where he was a member. A private interment will follow at Boonsboro Cemetery.
