William Joseph "Bill" Trickett
William Joseph "Bill" Trickett, III, 79, of Mount Airy, Maryland, passed from this life on Sunday, May 24, 2026 at his residence. He was the husband of Diane Hoffman Trickett his wife of 53 years.
Born on November 2, 1946, in Washington, DC, he was the son of the late William Joseph Trickett, Jr. and Anna Josephine Richwalsky Trickett.
Surviving in addition to his wife are his son William Joseph "Bill" Trickett, IV of Mt. Airy; a sister Irene Patricia "Patty" Trickett of Inwood, WV and a brother James Martin "Marty" Trickett of Sumter, SC. He was preceded in death by siblings: Robert Paul "Bobby" Trickett, Mary Anne Umble and George Richard "Rick" Trickett.
The family will receive friends from 4-6 PM on Friday, May 29, 2026 at Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike in Boonsboro, Maryland.
A graveside service and interment will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 30, at Mt. Lena United Methodist Church Cemetery, 21234 Mt. Lena Road, Boonsboro, MD.
