William "Adrian" Wentzel

William “Adrian” Wentzel passed away peacefully on Friday, June 26. Born September 18, 1943, Adrian was the son of the late Wiliam and Dorothy Wentzel. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Patricia A. Wentzel; his children, Robert Wentzel(Cathy), Rebecca Bellavia(Joseph), Chad Weddle (Irene) and his beloved dog Myla. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister Patricia Ward, and an infant brother Wesly Wentzel.

Adrian served in the Army Reserves, loved to fish, hunt and go camping. He was a truck driver and spent 16 years with Hahn Transportation all with Safe Driving awards. He was also employed at Car Quest delivering parts and delivered propane with Southern States. During his career he delivered concrete, gasoline and jet fuel.

Adrian was a life member at Amvets Post #9 in Middletown and was a member of the American Legion Post #211 in Funkstown.

A celebration of Adrian’s life will be held on Wednesday July 1st at 11am at Glade United Church of Christ, 21 Fulton Avenue, Walkersville, Maryland with Pastor Chad Weddle officiating. The viewing will be from 10am to 11am at the Church. Burial at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Frederick, Maryland. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Lung Association.
