Willie L. Walton

Willie L. Walton Sr., 76, of Frederick, Maryland peacefully passed away in his home on August, 25, 2025, with whom he shared with his wife Mary M. Walton surrounded by family.
Born on April 5, 1949, in New Brunswick, New Jersey, Willie has always such an avid love for life. 

As a young man, and throughout high school, he excelled in multiple sports activities and music. He attended community college, where he majored in computers. Once he graduated, he went to work at AT&T before working for IBM for over thirty years. His astonishing career led him to win multiple awards before retiring. In his spare time, Willie always loved to tell jokes, travel, bowl, work on his cars, and spend time with his family. Willie was always there for you whenever you needed him. With his big heart, he joined the Knights of Columbus while attending Saint Katherine Drexel.

 He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years Mary M. Walton, his children Willie L. Walton Jr., and his wife Jacqui, and Christopher Walton and wife Kayla, five grandchildren; Aubrianna Walton, Seann Young, Alexis Walton, Christopher Walton, and Angel Walton. He is also survived by his brothers Mitchell, Lawrence, Clarence John (Junior), and his sisters Vaness and Berneice, along with lots of family and friends. 

His is preceded in death by his loving daughter Letica M. Walton, his mother Sugar D.L Walton, father John Peter Walton, and his brother John Henry Allen Walton. 

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, September 11, 2025, at Stauffer Funeral Homes,1621 Opossumtown Pike in Frederick, MD. 

A celebration of Willie's life journey will take place at 11:00 am on Friday, September 12, 2025, at St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church, 8428 Opossumtown Pike in Frederick, Maryland. Interment will be at Mount Olivet Cemetery following services.
