Yvonne Carolyn Bland

Yvonne Carolyn Bland passed away peacefully on the evening of July 30, 2026, in Frederick, MD. Born in Montgomery County on Thanksgiving Day in 1943, she was a lifelong Marylander who lived her adulthood and raised her children in Rohrersville, MD. She is survived by her daughter Suzanne Seekins, her daughter and son-in-law Stephanie and Tommy Smith, her son and daughter-in-law Jason and Ryan Smith, her ten grandchildren, Liv, Nic, Alexis, Audrey, Christian, Abi, Tristan, Cece, Taryn, and Kendal, and her three great-children, Jack, Violet, and one yet to enter the world. With her passing, she is joining her beloved father Clifford, her favorite nephew Cliff, her ex-husband turned best friend Doug Seekins, her sisters Mary and Ruth, her mother Martha, and numerous animals from a lifetime of loving all creatures.

Yvonne is best remembered as a woman of great passions. Whether she was pursuing a new travel adventure, extolling the virtues of R&B music, or simply loving you so hard it hurt, she was always doing it 100%. Her family was her greatest pride, and she taught love before all else. A horse girl from birth, her family finds great joy in knowing she has been reunited with her precious Captain.

The family will receive visitors from 10-11 on Thursday, August 6th, at Stauffer Funeral Home in Frederick, and all are invited to stay for a celebration of life from 11-12. A private burial will take place at a later date.
