Bernard "Bernie" Corbin

July 29, 1941 — May 11, 2017

Bernard Joseph Corbin ("Bernie") left this world on May 11, 2017 due to a car accident while traveling to his home state of Maryland to visit his many relatives. Mr. Corbin had resided in New Carlisle, OH, for the past 27 years with his wife Marilyn. Born on July 29, 1941 in Alexandria, VA, he was the son of Wilfred Corbin and Lena Wright Douglas.
Bernie contributed much to society. He was a Commander of the Colmar Manor Maryland American Legion Post 131; a District Deputy of the Knights of Columbus; 2004 Knight of the Year, and received the Grand Knight's award for 2005-2006, was a Master Mason in the Scottish rite and was a member of American Legion Post 11, Frederick, MD. Mr. Corbin was also a member of the Widow's Sons Masonic Rider Association and was an NRA certified instructor and a ham radio operator (N8XKF).  He loved people and animals and will be greatly missed by society and his loving family & friends.
In addition to his loving wife Marilyn Mulcahy Corbin of 40 years, he is survived by 3 daughters: Helen Corbin Miller (Matt), Christina Harris (Jimmy), Terri Nettles (Wayne); 4 granddaughters; 3 great grandchildren; five sisters; two brothers & many nieces & nephews as well as great nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents & 3 brothers.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, May 24 at 2:30 p.m. at Cheltenham Veterans Cemetery, 11301 Crain Hwy, Cheltenham, MD 20623.  In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Catholic Relief Services www.crs.org or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital www.stjude.org.
