Colton Edward Watts, Jr. departed this life on July 27, 2014 at Northampton Nursing home. Born August 30, 1938, Colton, better known as “Bunky,” worked as a brick mason for 35 years for T.W. Yoder. He was the son of the late Gertrude C. Duckett and Colton E. Watts, Sr., and grandson of the late John and Dora Robinson.
Leaving to treasure his time here are his loving and dedicated wife, Elaine D. Watts, three children of this union of 54 years – LeWyann E. Sherrod (Frederick, MD), Dale E. Watts (Frederick, MD), and Lisa D. Watts (San Diego, CA), three grandchildren– Kyon-Teka Watts-Sims and husband Lucas (Tracy, CA), Steven Sherrod, Jr., (Hagerstown, MD), and Sha-Reka Sherrod (Chandler, AZ), and six great-grandchildren Camon, Caiya, and Caden Sims (CA), Serenity Sherrod (MD), and Day-Vion and DaVonte Dorsey (AZ), two brothers - Irving and David Watts (Frederick, MD), in-laws – John Harris, Charles and Alice Harris, Howard and Virginia Harris (Frederick, MD), and David and Gloria Harris (Cincinnati, Ohio), two sister-in-laws Carolyn Irick (Philadelphia, PA), Nona Johnson (Frederick, MD), 3 devoted nieces Vanessa Watts, Kimberly Harris, and Andrea Flournoy, close dedicated friends Carlwell Harris, Nathaniel Smith, and Charles Dorsey, and numerous beloved nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by a sister Dora Lee Watts, a brother Daniel S. Watts, sister-in-laws Bertha L. Watts and Margaret Watts, and brother-in-law John Irick.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 2nd from 9:00am-10:00am until services begin at 10:00am at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, Maryland.
Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery.
