Douglas Brewer

Douglas Stewart Brewer of Frederick, MD passed away on Monday, May 30, 2016. Beloved son of the late John F. and Barbara Huff Brewer; brother of John F. Brewer, Jr., Theodore Brewer and Thomas Brewer. He is also survived by his beloved Chocolate Labrador, "Angus" and his brother Tom's two German Shepherds, "Hemi" and "Madison".

Mr. Brewer was a graduate of Middletown High School where he was a member of the track and football teams, andJhe was an avid weightlifter. Douglas graduated from Shepherd University where he was a member of the Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity. He was a member of the Trinity Episcopal Church of Shepherdstown, WV and was an Eagle Scout of Troop 1600 of Frederick MD. Douglas worked in the produce department of Giant Food in Frederick and then entered the Telecommunication field.

The family will be receiving relatives and friends at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, MD on Thursday, 6-8 pm where funeral service will be held on Friday, June 3, 2016 at 1 pm. Interment Resthaven Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Uniting Two Save Animals (U2SA) PO Box 1064, Frederick, MD 21702.
