He loved duck pin bowling on several leagues in the State of Maryland, where, for many years, he was on the duck pin pro tour. George attended the Sharpsburg Bible Church in Sharpsburg, MD. He was an avid Ravens Fan, loved coaching Dakota in sports and attending all of the kids' games.

He will be sorely missed by his children, Lisa (Moss) Westfall, and husband, Ric, of Martinsburg, and Ray Martin and wife, Angela, of Hagerstown, MD; his five wonderful grandchildren, Dakota Martin, Victoria Martin, Braden Martin and wife, Mackenzie, Collin Martin, and Alexandra House; sisters and brothers, Reta Merser of Hagerstown, Mary Sue Bohrer of Hedgesville, WV, David Moss of Hagerstown, and Tony Moss of Brunswick; nephew, Gary Smith, Sr. and his wife, Carolyn, of Brunswick; great-niece and great-nephew, Gary Smith, Jr. and Dawn Smith; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
