Hedwig Robinson

Hedwig Rosalie Robinson, 92, of Frederick, Maryland, passed from this life on Sunday, October 6, 2019 at Country Meadows Retirement home while in hospice care.

Born on August 29, 1927, in Rosenberg, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Josef Goricke and Rosalie Goricke (nee Wloka).

She was the loving wife of Isaac Robinson her husband for 61 years. She immigrated to this country in 1958 and followed her husband's military career in Fort Devens, Massachusetts, Fort Caron, Colorado, Fort Ord, California and Fort Huachuca, Arizona. The family lived in Arizona for 42 years, she and her husband retired to Country Meadows Retirement Home of Frederick, Maryland in 2012.

In her younger years, she was a teacher's aide and loved making turquoise and other semi-precious stone jewelry.  She enjoyed arts and crafts, hiking, sightseeing and travel as well.  She was a devoted member of Village Meadows Church of Christ in Sierra Vista, Arizona, where she was very active volunteering in many roles and enjoying the fellowship of the church.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her three children,  Patricia, Corvin and Kerry; her daughter-in-law, Michaela; two grandsons, Brendan and Jordan; one sister-in-law, Lizzie Lois and many nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by her sister, Maria and three brothers, Paul, George and Alois.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Saturday, October 12, 2019 at Stauffer Funeral Homes, 1621 Opossumtown Pike in Frederick, MD. 21702.

A celebration of Hedwig's life journey will take place at the funeral home at 3:00 pm on Sunday, October 13, 2019.  Rev. Clyde Morsberger will officiate.  Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
