Herminia Chumpen

March 15, 1928 — June 14, 2020

Herminia Natividad Gargurevich de Chumpen, de Frederick se encaminó al descanso eterno el Miércoles, 10 de Junio del 2020. Ella tenía 92 años.

Herminia nacio y vivio en Lambayeque, Perú hasta la edad de 17 anos. Ella tuvo pasión por el canto desde muy niña y a temprana edad pudo hacer llegar su voz por medio de la radio. Su ya difunto esposo Gilberto se enamoró de su voz y eventualmente la pudo conocer luego de que se mudara a Lima en Enero de 1946.

Herminia se casó, tuvo 5 hijos y vivió en la capital del Perú hasta su llegada a los Estados Unidos, en 1992. En el año 2004 vino a vivir a Frederick, Maryland y se convirtió en miembro de la iglesia St.John’s Catholic. Herminia fue una persona caritativa, cariñosa y dispuesta siempre a ayudar, Su pasatiempo favorito fue el tejido a palito.

A Herminia le sobreviven  sus amados hijos, Elizabeth y su esposo Rolando, Marisela y su esposo Héctor, Gilberto, Dora y su esposo William, y Jimy. Sus adorados nietos, Omar, Max (Jessica), Victor (Charlotte), Maricela (Tom), Luigi (Cori), Gabriela, y Kyle; y sus amados bisnietos Diego, Omar, Emmanuel, Giovanni, Antonio, Piero, Bryan, Jasmine, Noah, Fia, y Gianluca.

Sus siempre recordados y amados hermanos incluyed: Herlinda, Carmen, Martha, Jenny, Emma, Yeni, Graciela, Otto, Francisco, Alejandro, Luis.y Ernesto.

Hasta la proxima ves que nos reencontremos la alegria por la vida y el amor a su familia que nuestra Mama Herminia tenia vivira en nuestros corazones.

Servicios Funerarios se llebaran acabo el Miercoles 17 de Junio, 2020 a la 1pm en Maryland National Memorial Park 13300 Washington Boulevard Laurel, Maryland 20707.


Herminia Natividad Gargurevich de Chumpen, of Frederick entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, June 10, 2020. She was 92 years old.

Herminia was born and raised in Lambayeque, Peru. Herminia had a passion for singing and early in her life she was able to spread her voice through the radio. Her late husband Gilberto fell in love with her voice, and eventually met her after her move to Lima in January of 1946. She raised her family and stayed in the capital until her move to the United States in 1992. She moved to Frederick, Maryland in 2004. Herminia was a parishioner of St. John’s Catholic church in Frederick; she was a very giving, caring and helpful person with one of her most favorite hobbies being knitting.

Herminia is survived by her loving children, Elizabeth & her husband Rolando, Marisela & her husband Hector, Gilberto, Dora & her husband William , & Jimy. Herminia is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, Omar, Max (Jessica), Victor (Charlotte), Maricela (Tom), Luigi (Cori), Gabriela, and Kyle, and her loving great grandchildren, Diego, Omar, Emmanuel, Giovanni, Antonio, Piero, Brian, Jasmine, Noah, Fia, and Gianluca.

Lastly, she is survived by her adoring siblings, Herlinda, Carmen, Jenny, Emma, Martha, Yeni, Graciela, Otto, Francisco, Alejandro, Luis, and Ernesto.

Until we meet again, Mama Herminia's joy and love for life and her family will continue to shine in our hearts.

Funeral Services will be held at Maryland National Memorial Park on Wednesday June 17th, 2020 at 1 pm 13300 Washington Boulevard Laurel, Maryland 20707.
