Mr. Jack Martin Moore, 93, of Frederick, MD, passed away on Tuesday, April 9, 2013. He was the husband of Frances Moore, his wife of nearly 68 years.
Born on November 28, 1919, in Ramage, WV, he was the son of the late John and Frances Moore.
Jack served in the U.S. Army. He attended Marshall University and received his undergraduate and his law degree from George Washington University.
He retired from the Department of Defense.
The most important thing to Jack was his family, which was his chief concern in life. In addition to his loving wife, Frances, he is survived by his beloved family, who were devoted to him and who will miss him terribly. They are his three children: Alicia Stine and husband James of White Plains, MD; Nancy Moore of Chandler, AZ; and John Moore and wife Vicki of Mt. Airy, MD; seven grandchildren: Kevin Stine, Erin Yim, Darin Stine, Robin Stine, Ryan Moore, Steven Moore, and Stephanie Moore; and six great grandchildren: Andrew Stine, Matthew Stine, Lauren Stine, Jonathan Yim, Christopher Yim, and Madison Moore.
A memorial service will be held at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, on Sunday, April 14th, at 2:00PM. The family will be present to receive friends one hour prior to service time.
