Jim was such a great neighbor. He was a caring man and will be missed. We wish we would have been able to make his service.

We are so very sorry to learn of our dear neighbor Jim’s passing. Unfortunately, we just heard, or we would have been at his service. What a very dear man Jim was, and we will miss him and his friendship, and also his sweet dog, in our neighborhood. We offer our sincere condolences to his family. May he rest in eternal peace. Sincerely, Sherrie and Steve Clark

My friendship with Connie and Jim goes back to 1958. We had some very fun times at Westminster and maintained our friendship for years. We spent each New Year's Eve playing bridge until the distance where we each lived became too far to travel for a holiday weekend. Debby and Ray got to know Jay and Cindy. I say all this to highlight the wonderful memories that are with me. Jim's love for Connie was extraordinary when they first met and I know from emails, it continued for as long as he lived. Hopefully, they are together.

Our family sends it deepest sympathy to yours.

I graduated from Rockville High School in 1979. I took Biology and Advanced Biology with Mr Brown. He was a wonderful teacher and inspired my love of science. I went on to become a high school teacher myself. I’ve thought about him so many times over the years, especially his smile, sense of humor, and sparkle in his eyes. I am very lucky to have had him as a teacher. My deepest sympathy to all of you.

I will always remember Mr. Brown. His chemistry and biology II classes made me fall in love with science. His dry wit and gentle but firm way of running the class made it easy to learn and fun at the same time. I have many pictures of trips with the class and him. He will be missed!

This wonderful man had such an impact on my life. He was not just a teacher, he was a friend and mentor. He was the true embodiment of what a great teacher should be. RIP Mr. Brown. Thank you.

Amy and Frank,
So sorry to hear of your Dad’s passing.
He really is one of the last of a great generation. He’s with your Mom now and finally at peace, but will be missed by all who knew him. I consider myself lucky to have known him.
Tom
