Jerry Thompson

Jerry Lee Ray Thompson, Sr., 46, of Dickerson, MD passed from this life on Sunday, November 17.  He was the husband of Jessica Lee (Easterday) Thompson.  Born on January 24, 1973 in Olney, he was the son of Joseph Makel Thompson and the late Jo Ann (Reed) Thompson.

Jerry, "Pug" was a loving husband, son, father, brother, grandfather and friend.  He was a hard worker and enjoyed operating heavy equipment.  He was currently employed at Holler Construction and worked part-time doing farm work and snow removal.  His hobbies were hunting, fishing and finding the occasional mudhole to sling some mud with his truck.  He enjoyed listening to country music and wearing out his Gary Allan CD.  He was kind hearted, playful and loved children.  Many referred to him as their "Uncle Jerry".  He was a good Samaritan that was willing to help anyone in need.  He had a contagious smile and a sparkle in his eyes.  He will always be loved, never forgotten, forever missed.

In addition to his wife and father, he is survived by three sons; Jerry Lee Thompson, Jr. (Taylor Gray), Devin Thompson and Xavier Clements (Noelle Perez); a daughter, Ashley Kitts (Daniel); three grandchildren: Julian Thompson, Isabella Thompson and Nicholas Rainwater; two brothers: Joseph "Mike" Thomopson, Jr. and Tina (Ketterman), Donald Thompson and wife Tammy; one sister, Kim Michael and husband James as well as mother and father-in-law; Edward and Donna Wetzel and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his mother and grandson, Noah Thompson.

The family will receive friends, celebrating the life of not only Jerry, but also his mother on Tuesday, November 26 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick.  A graveside service will be held, officiated by family and friends, on Wednesday, November 27 at 3:00 PM at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Frederick, where Jerry and his mother will be laid to rest together.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to St. Jude or March of Dimes.
