Joan Saracco

d. April 19, 2021

For the first time in written history, Joan Saracco has gone somewhere early. Too early .  On April  19, 2021 , at the youthful age of 82, Joan L. Saracco went to be with our Lord and reunite with her cherished husband, Tony, and her spirited sister, Carol.  Due to Joan’s requirement that this obituary be written years before her actual death so that she could proofread it, some information had been guesstimated and has now been updated.  Joan was born in Albany , NY in 1938 to Willis C Lawrence and Anne B Lawrence, the first of 3 sisters and the looniest of the Golden Girls.  Joan spent her young adult years working as an editor for Mobil and traveling all over the world until she met the love of her life at a ski club in NY.  She married and a few years later they produced a perfect little daughter.  Joan became a stay at home mom to the perfect one and then they had another one.  After raising her girls Joan returned to the workforce and has spent the last 20 years working as an agent for the US Census Bureau.  In addition to requesting that this be written before her demise, Joan has also requested that her body be cremated in customary Catholic fashion but that her head be frozen (as is also customary in the future) for future reanimation. Her ashes will be kept in a box somewhere in her office. Joan is survived by her daughter Kelly (Frankie) Thornton, husband Richard and grandson Logan Riley, daughter Jaime Saracco and James, niece Jenna Lawrence and Thom, sister Sherry Ogata, husband Baron Ogata, and niece and nephew, Holly and Tim, sister in law, Doreen Swenson and husband Bill, niece Lisa Swenson and family and niece Kristine Frias and family.  Memorial arrangements and church services will be communicated in the near future.
