Laura Beth Covarrubias, 38, of Mount Airy, Maryland passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, June 8, 2022, as a result of a motorcycle accident. Born in Olney, Maryland she was the loving daughter of Kathryn Lynn Turner and Albert Alan DiTizio.
After graduating from the University of Maryland, Laura moved to Wisconsin, where she obtained her Masters Degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, staying for 10 years, prior to moving to New York less than a year ago.
Laura loved creating art, traveling, loved the beach, hiking and sailing, motorcycle riding, and photography. Above all she loved her kids, family, and friends.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her children, Sophia, age 7, and Vincent Covarrubias, age 3; her sisters Sarah Marie Woods (Gary) and Michelle Lynn DiTizio; grandmother Lois Erisman; nephews Noah and Michael Woods; aunt and uncle Jackie and Doug Rider; her loving partner Raymond Suen; and many cousins, aunts, and uncles.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Laura’s family on Friday, June 17, 2022 from 4:00pm to 6:00pm at Stauffer Funeral Home, 8 East Ridgeville Blvd., Mount Airy, MD 21771. A service to celebrate her life and legacy will immediately follow at 6:00 pm.
