Nate Power was an amazing friend, my best friend! He was like a brother. I miss him so much! A funny guy and a joy to be around. Traveling with him to Europe, Middle East and all over the US...what a blast.... even when we got into trouble with our antics and pranks. We thought it was funny. Nate, I can hear you laughing now. Professionally, he was an inspirational leader...full of integrity and loyalty. His presence alone always made organizations, his programs and people better. Despite my decades of leadership...watching Nate in action enabled me to improve my own leadership abilities. Nate's legacy is not only being a loving husband, father/grandfather and a family man... it is making people better...I think he knew that. My message to Nate...Ole buddy you are in God’s hands now, please watch over us, we all still need you. My profound respects and condolences to Mary, their children, the grandchildren and the Power clan.

Dear Aaron and family,
Thank you, Aaron, for getting in touch with us! I am in Western Pennsylvania and unable to get down for your dad's funeral. I am sorry that I cannot make it. But you and your mother and all the family will be in our prayers.
I have often wondered where the years have taken you, Aaron. I saw on the internet that you are now in Mt Vernon, Iowa.
We have been off the road for a few years now as Priscilla had Alzheimer's and couldn't travel any longer. She passed away last year. I am with another little sister in Gallitzin, PA doing translations for our community and trying to keep in touch with our circus friends whenever possible. Carson and Barnes played closeby a couple years ago and I was so happy to see Kristin and Traci and their kids.
Know of my thoughts and love. So sorry about your dad.
Lovingly,
Little sister Jo

Michor and I got the news of Nat's passing from another old "Army family of the heart" friends, Glenn and Lia Anderson. Sad as it makes us, we so appreciate being told. We ALL have been separated by both miles and years for a LONG time. But it doesn't lessen the memories that helped to build a wonderful Army life for us. Please know that we send both our thoughts, prayers and thanks for being a part of our lives.

Powers family, I am so sorry for your loss. Nate was such a kind and friendly person. When I first started a year ago he made sure to know my name and chat with me every time he was in the office, really made my day. I am going to miss him dearly, my thoughts are with you all in this difficult time.
