Lori Bontz

Mrs. Lori A. Bontz, 59, of Mount Airy, passed from this life on Monday, June 21, 2021 at her residence. She was the loving wife of Karl N. Bontz, her husband of 32 years.

Born on January 19, 1962, in Bethesda, MD, she was the daughter of Stanley Gordon Ackerman of Damascus and the late Frances Waldron Ackerman.

She was a 1980 graduate of Damascus High School. Lori worked for Graphic Visions in Gaithersburg where she loved and put all her heart into. In her spare time Lori loved to cook, paint, read and enjoyed planting flowers and going shopping.

Surviving in addition to her husband are a daughter, Lauren Thompson and husband Chris Keilholtz of Thurmont; four grandchildren: Abigail Christian, Mackenzie Thompson, Ashton Thompson and Brantley Steinour; three sisters: Tracey McGaha and husband Ira of Mt. Airy, Kelly Abbot and husband Dave of Queen Anne’s and Linda Smith and husband Bobby of Fairfield.

A celebration of Lori's life journey will take place at a later date.
