To Mary's family, we send our deepest sympathy. We had the pleasure of Mary's company most recently for exercise class and I personally enjoyed chatting with her. She made me feel so welcome when I started working here 6 years ago. She always had a kind word and a positive outlook. The past few years we have missed her company, but thought of her often. Such a dear, sweet lady, heaven has gained another angel. Rest in peace Mary.

Barry and I were greatly saddened to learn of your mother's passing. I loved both your parents. Your dad was a great mentor. And your mom was always so kind. I loved having her substitute in my class; she was a steel magnolia and everyone wanted her in their classroom! The Frederick Community has lost a very special person. Our sympathy to you all.

My thoughts and prayers are with Linda, Doug and John. Your parents were strong role models for you and many others. Mary led a life of faith and caring. I know she leaves an empty place in your lives. May your family feel God’s love and constant presence in your lives through the days ahead.

Mary and Jim were always weaving in and out of the lives of our Wagner family. We all have such wonderful memories of them being there when needed: at Catoctin High School, Dad's death, Mandy's homebound instruction for months, a wedding, their neighborhood walks, and more. Their generosity, kindness, and caring will forever be missed and remembered. Rest in peace...

We are so sad to learn of Mrs. Long's passing. I will always remember how kind she was to my mother when my father, James Black, was ill. Dr. Fisher had just passed away, and she saw my mother in the waiting area. Even though she had just lost her husband minutes before, she offered solace to us. My father died later that same day. Several years later, my husband and I purchased the Long farm. Mrs. Fisher shared many of her childhood memories of the farm, as well as other invaluable information and photos. We will be forever grateful for her kindness. Our thoughts and prayers are with Mrs. Fisher, Dr. Fisher, and the entire family.

So many of us students from Thurmont High School received a great start to setting out into life on our own because of Mary Fisher. She then became a friend to them for the rest of her life. She was quit a LADY!!!
