Pearl Burke

Pearl Burke, 74, of Woodsboro, Maryland, passed from this life on Thursday, February 6, 2020 at her home in Woodsboro, MD. She was the beloved wife of more than 30 years to the late Walter Samuel Burke Sr.

Born on March 16, 1945, in Grafton, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Jesse and Della (Keener) Davis. Pearl was a homemaker, staying home to raise and care for her children. She was an avid reader of romance novels, enjoyed watching game shows and listening to Elvis. Pearl was most importantly dedicated to her family.

She is survived by children, Roberta Rippeon, Debbie Tiedt and husband Fred, Samantha Wolfe, Pearl Seiss and husband Rick, Carolyn Foland and husband Ken, Walter Burke Jr. and companion Melinda Hoy. She is also survived by, her sister, Annie Cagley; grandchildren, David Gill, Darcee Williams, Julie Swartz, Michael Wolfe, Matthew Wolfe, Timothy Seiss, Sheila Seiss, Jenna Seiss and Hannah Foland; great-grandchildren, Brittnee, Bethanee, Emma, Owen, Logan, Madison, Eli and DeAsia; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Pearl will be fondly remembered by, Susie Poole and Martha Long.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Charles Davis and Junior Davis, Rosalee Collins, Dorothy Barr and Maribell Davis and her grandson, Dylan Joseph Seiss.

The family will receive friends from 11am to Noon on Tuesday, February 11th, 2020 at the Locust Grove Church of the Brethren, 13356 Glissans Mill Road, Mt. Airy, MD.

A celebration of Pearl's life journey will take place at Noon on Tuesday, February 11th at the church. Reverend Greg Quintrell will officiate. Interment will be at Locust Grove Church of the Brethren Cemetery.
