Randall Decker

July 25, 1950 — February 4, 2020

Randy Decker, 69, of Hagerstown, Maryland, formerly of Middletown for 25 years, died on Tuesday, February 4, 2020 after a brief but aggressive illness.  He was the loving and devoted husband of Mona Belle Decker of 49 years.

Born on July 25, 1950 in Salem, IL, he was the son of the late Earl Lawrence Decker and Mildred Dona (Hower) Decker.

Randy earned his Bachelor of Science in Business from Illinois State University after being drafted and serving in the U.S. Army.  He spent his civilian career in sales management roles, always providing for his family.  He proudly raised his children in Middletown Valley, being involved in their various sports activities throughout the years.

He found great joy during the latest chapter of his life in both helping raise and support his five grandchildren.

We find comfort knowing he has joined his parents and many siblings in heaven.  We will miss him dearly.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Angela Dee Decker of Myersville, MD, Ashleigh Jean Tidd and husband Eric, of Littlestown, PA, and Adam Richard Decker and wife Elise, of Hampstead, MD.  He is also survived by his beloved grandchildren, Michael Andrew, Nora Belle, Landon Scott, Molly Elizabeth, and Trevor D. Randall.  Additionally, he leaves behind four older brothers, Ron, Dub, Lester and Robert, as well as many loving nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm on Saturday, February 8, 2020 at Zion Lutheran Church, 107 W. Main Street, Middletown, with a celebration of life service to begin at noon.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Wounded Warriors Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas, 66675  woundedwarriorproject.org

Interment will be at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
