Samuel Wickham

Mr. Samuel Byrdine "Sam" Wickham, 78, of Frederick died Tuesday, June 2, 2020 surrounded by his family at Citizens Care and Rehab Center.
Born in Matoaka, WV, he was the son of the late Samuel Kenzie Wickham and Vida Mae (Underwood) Wickham.
He was a Vietnam Veteran, having served two tours from 1959-1968. He was the recipient of the Purple Heart.
He was a loving father and grandfather. He will be greatly missed.
Sam is survived by two sons, Christopher Wickham and wife, Renee, of Frederick, and Russell Wickham and wife, Camila Rodriguez, of Olney; four grandchildren, Jacob, Timmy, Tomas, and Summer; two siblings, Reginald Wickham and Shirley Corson; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a daughter, Melissa Wickham, and four siblings, Timothy Wickham, Scott Wickham, Regina Bertock, and Carol Warsaw.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, June 8, 2020 at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick.
Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 9 from the funeral home chapel.
