Timothy Knestout

February 15, 1961 — January 31, 2019

Timothy John "Tim" Knestout, 57, of Thurmont, Maryland, passed from this life on Thursday, January 31, 2019 at his home. He was the loving husband of Michelle Knestout.

Born on February 15, 1961, in Cheverly, MD, he was the son of Caroline Mae (Lucci) Knestout and the late Thomas  Knestout.

He graduated from Bowie High School. He was employed by E.F. Thompson, Inc. as a tractor trailer driver and has driven for 33 years.

Tim loved riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle and feeling free on the open road. Now we know he'll be able to do that, to free his soul. His wings can now soar him through the air like his beloved eagle, a symbol of our freedom as an American.

In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by children, Colton and his wife, Jessica, and Destiny; grandchildren, Zaiden and Aurora; sisters, Janice Colvin and husband, Robert, Rose Maslo and husband, Joe, and Julie Peters; brothers, Robert, Bishop Barry, Thomas and wife, Jaci, Fr. Mark, and Brian and wife, Cathy; mother-in-law, Sharon Mayes and husband, Jerry; sister-in-law, Deborah Thompson and husband, Paul; brother-in-law, Clinton Marcus and wife, April; many nieces and nephews; and the entire Fowler family.

He was preceded in death by his son, Andrew Fowler; and father-in-law, Wayne Marcus.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:30 am on Monday, February 11, 2019, at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church, 6900 River Road in Bethesda. His brothers, Bishop Barry Knestout and Rev. Mark Knestout will officiate. Final resting place ceremony will be held at Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton, MD.

The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Monday, February 11th at the church in Bethesda.

Arrangements are being handled by the Stauffer Funeral Home in Thurmont. Expressions of sympathy may be offered to the family at StaufferFuneralHome.com.
