Tina and Burton Johnson

Tina Johnson and Burton Johnson Jr. passed away on Saturday, June 6, 2020.

Tina was born on November 17, 1963 in Hagerstown, Maryland and was the daughter of the late John Samuel Redman Sr. and Earlene Elisabeth Mae (Karn) Redman.

Burton was born on March 25, 1963 in Charlestown, West Virginia and was the son of the late Burton Johnson Sr. and Shirley Loman Johnson.

Both Tina and Burton graduated from Boonsboro High School. They enjoyed spending time outdoors and having cookouts with their family. They loved spending time with their family and K-9 companions, Naiyah, Balto, Shiloh, Zelda and Zodiac.

Tina worked for Lorien Assisted Living Facility and her calling in life was caring for others. Her family was the most important part of her life, she truly loved her children, but held a special place in her heart for her grandchildren. She never met a person or an animal she didn’t love. She had the biggest heart and never missed an opportunity to help rescue an animal in need.

Burton was retired from the Federal Government but spent most of his career with the National Park Services. He enjoyed working in every aspect of park services from working as a grade III mechanic, working maintenance, and preservation and protection of the parks. He enjoyed hiking with his dogs, spending time outdoors.

They leave behind Tina’s son Randy Goetz Jr. his wife Rebecca and son Lane; their daughters, Kirsten Johnson and her son, Szander Rodosovich; Kasandra Johnson and her daughter, Harlow Mason; and Brittany Johnson. Tina’s siblings, John Jr, Dwayne, Robin and Tracey and Burton’s siblings, Brenda, Carolyn and Tina and they share numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received from 1pm to 4pm on Sunday, June 14, 2020 at the Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro, MD.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Humane Society of Washington County, 13011 Maugansville Road, Hagerstown, MD 21740.
