Tom Beck

Tom Beck, 61, of Frederick, Maryland, passed on Saturday, October 9th, 2021, at Frederick Memorial Hospital.
He was born May 6th, 1960, in San Diego, California, to Walter Beck and Gennette (Baugh) Dimas.
Tom graduated High School from Morse High School and soon after graduating, entered service with the U.S. Navy in 1980; he served in the Navy for 20 years as a Cryptologic Systems Maintenance Technician, reaching the rank of Petty Officer First Class and earning multiple awards such as the Navy Meritorious Unit Medal, 4 Navy Good Conduct Medals, a Navy Expeditionary Medal, a Navy Achievement Medal, and a Joint Service Achievement Medal.
After retiring from the Navy in 2000, he then worked for Orbital Sciences Corporation for 15 years before moving to Northrop Grumman where he worked for 5 years, both as a Senior Electronics Technician.
Tom was a hardworking, dedicated man who always put his family first in everything he did and always made everyone around him laugh. He loved to watch football, play video games, and go out with his wife and kids. The greatest memories were made on their annual vacation to Pigeon Forge, Tennessee where they enjoyed exploring Gatlinburg and partaking in all the fun activities in the surrounding areas as a family.
He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Cindy Beck, his mother, Gennette Dimas, his 7 children, Tyler Beck (Wife, Hannah), Caitlynn Beck, Kenny Grant, Crystal Missimer (husband, Jason), Kellie Grant, Kevin Grant, and Thomas Webb (wife, Andrea); and 9 grandchildren, Caden, Kali, Jackson, Charlie, Delaney, Kamerin, Trenton, Zachary, and Cedar.
He is predeceased by his father, Walter Beck.
A celebration of life ceremony will be held at New Hope Presbyterian Church in Frederick, MD (5305 Jefferson Pike, Frederick, MD 21703) on Friday, October 22, 2021, at 3pm.
