There has to be a 6 foot 4 inches hole in all your hearts right now. Larger than life in so many ways. Cathy's profile came up on facebook, and as I hadn't heard from either Cathy or Mike in several years, I made contact. It came as a complete shock to me that this man I had first met in Dammam, Saudi Arabia in 1982, had left us.
He had a profound effect on my life, and I still have his deer antler corkscrew. I feel guilty about that. You are missed.

My dad shared this. You are in our thoughts. May his life be a blessing for everyone.

Cathy and (brother) Don, Wake Forest just alerted me of Mike's death. They and I are so sorry and sad! We're planning the Reunion for our 1974 Class and I was about to contact Mike. As Don may remember, Mike was like a brother to me when we arrived on campus from neighboring Pennsylvania High Schools. Wonderful and giving guy, so well expressed in this great picture of him! I am so sorry you and the family lost him so early and just as retirement dreams were being realized. All comfort in the coming days, Wendy.

We remember the fun times of girls softball and Mike's playful persona. This photo shows him as we remember him best always smiling and enjoying life. Sincere wishes and deepest sympathy to each of you. The Ott Family - Dave, Debbie, Lauren & Andrew
