Why Choose a Family-Owned Funeral Home?

The death of a loved one is one of the most difficult things most of us will ever experience.

Choosing a funeral home to care for and support you during this time of need shouldn’t be.

Large corporations and investment firms continue to buy local funeral homes here in our community. From the outside, these neighborhood funeral homes still appear to be locally owned, however they are run by companies in other states who have a greater responsibility to their investors than to your family or our community.

We want you to know that our second-generation owners, George and Courtney Stauffer, and staff live right here in the community. Just like you, we have a deep connection to this place we call home. Our children attend the same schools as your children and grandchildren. Like you, we support the organizations that make this community strong, and we volunteer alongside you at local events.

We are your friends and your neighbors.

We are the people you can lean on for advice and support in your time of need. All you need to do is pick up the phone and we will be there for you, listening carefully, answering your questions, and guiding you every step of the way. We will care for and support you as if you were our own family.

“Because we are not a publicly-held entity that is part of a national funeral chain, I can assure you that every decision we make at Stauffer Funeral Homes is made on behalf of you and your family. Our decision to steer clear of corporate affiliations and stay family-owned and operated relieves us of any pressure to meet profitability margins or goals set by shareholders and allows us to focus only on providing the highest quality of care to you and your family.”
